Having spent a lot of time in Amsterdam in my youth, I have seen the concept of it legalised.

Do I think it should be in Australia .... no, I've had too many friends and family member's lives ruined by usage.

Should there be an option for it to be medically administered, yes. I've seen it do good in my clients in the past, helped with pain and appetite.

I also have to disagree with mumma.
DH is a former bong addict and he is quite intelligent.
On my phone so can't go into much detail- but DH's family is mostly all addicted to marijuana.
Most function normally- hold down a job, pay bills, own homes....
But I feel that it severely impairs judgement. DH's family would have no issue in smoking bongs in front of my DD, which I find disgusting.

I'll be interested to hear other people's opinions.

I haven't read all the replies (Apologies if this has been said)

But i'm all for it being legalised. The medicinal purposes it can be used for are HUGE. And depending on the way that it is grown the toxity is quite low. I did a huge assignment on this when i was in grade 12, and it really opened my eyes and has made me a believer in the goodness of it. There are more drugs in our PPS scheme that are alot worst then marijuana.
