I hear you but if there is a reason you are genuinely concerned then sometimes you just have to assert yourself in the face of "The System".

This means - reminding doctors/nurses of the pertinent facts - they are human too, and sometimes they need to be made a little more aware of things about you that may alter their decision.

Jeepers if they can get it wrong about my breast lump they can certainly get it wrong about your sinus condition!

I also happen to know that the government "guidelines" regarding coughs/colds/infections goes something along the lines of "these should resolve in about 2 weeks"...so if yours has gone longer (and I'd bet my eye teeth this is *not* a new infection - but the dregs of the last one) then that means you qualify for AB treatment.

BTW - Don't get me started on GP fees, I was paying $65 EVERY VISIT just to see a local GP in the ACT! I nearly fell over when I got back to SA and they only charged me $50...I was like, why is this so cheap
