    Smile TTC with natural therapies

I've been TTC for about 11 months (6 months seriously) and have had much heartache and sadness over my inability to fall pregnant. However, in the last 3 or so months I've been seeing a lovely natropath. I always walk away from my appointment feeling 'listened to', unlike going to the Dr who tells you to 'wait until you've been trying for a year'. my appointment with the natropath always takes about an hour, even though she schedules me for half an hour because she takes time to answer my questions at great length. she knows i'm very interested in the "why" of how these herbs work, and instead of saying 'here, take this becuase i said so" she says "here, take this because....(long and detailed reason)"

both DH and I are on a number of different herbs and supplements, and while i haven't fallen pregnant (yet!) i'm feeling GREAT! if nothing else, it makes me feel energetic and healthy then it is worth the $$...

I'm keen to try acupuncture, but want to give my herbs some time to do their magic.. i've switched all of my cosmetics and cleaning products to natural alternatives and am feeling suitably smug about that.. what else can i do??

Have any of you ladies had good results in using natural therapies while TTC?

Long post, but I'm feeling very positive and wanted to share this feeling!

    hi there
great you are feeling so positive and your naturopath sounds wonderful. i hope it all works out for you soon.
It took me 12 months to fall preg with my DS... so this time i went the chinese dr approach - saw someone who specialised in fertility. she had my cycle on 28 days within a month and i fell preg the next month. i was amazed. this is using acupuncture and chinese herbs (also temping etc). i then saw her for the first 10 or so weeks and i am going back this week to prep body for labour etc. i also used acupuncture in my last preg at the end (for labour prep) and it was wonderful.
Anyway this is my experience - i highly recommend acupuncture and/or chinese med... i knowa lot of success stories and there is lots of evidence how it works.
I hope you have success soon - and keep up the positive vibes, they can only help!
