I'm a Naturopath at the BellyBelly Centre, and I'm more than happy to help you with your memory. I'm not sure where you are located, but you are welcome to email me and I can post some memory herbs out to you (I won't charge you for a consultation). I also work with homeopathic medicines, which can be brilliant for treating poor memory. As for your fish oils, a therapeutic dose is at least 6000mg daily, so you are safe to take 6 capsules daily. They are best taken with food for maximum absorption.
All the best, and feel free to contact me if you need to.
DH swears by Brahmi and I can tell if he's taken it or not by how he and his memory are functioning. Without it he struggles to recall and put correct names to things.
Hi Tan,
I have a big pot in the yard with Gotu kola (Centella asiatica) and Brahmi (Bacopa Monnieri) growing in it. They're both pretty hardy creeping herbs, I just give them a water every couple of days.
The brahmi is actually called memory herb on the label. I have a couple of sprigs/leafs of each most days, and I do think it helps. Especially when Im having it every day.
Its probably a lot more concentrated in a tablet form, but this is enough for me, and cheaper
I think Ginko is another one. I have read about trials using it for dementia patients.
Has your doc tested your hormone levels? Im on natural progesterone supp at the moment, too soon to say if its helped, but its supposed to help with depression and memory.
Good luck finding something that helps
