Oh, Tiff, they're tiny little babies, how can they expect them to wait for 4 hours between feeds *and* get cranky when they don't? That's just wrong. You are right - they are doing exactly what they are supposed to be doing. I think they're doing a fantastic job going 3 and half hours. When they are so little they need to get every bit they can and eat whenever they want! Even now, Josh generally only goes 3 hours between feeds and he's over 4 months old!
And making you give Noah a top up just because it's more convenient for them, that's just wrong too. It's their job to feed him at the times you can't be there! It's not Noah's job to fit around them. Do all the midwives have the same attitude? I hope it's not like that every time you go to the hospital.
Is there someone there that you can talk to about getting the help that you need? An understanding midwife/team leader/unit manager etc? I know it's not easy when you don't want to rock the boat and feel like you are putting people out, but you shouldn't be sitting there struggling on your own and getting stressed. Could Dave maybe have a quiet word with someone there?
And Tiff, as bellasmum said, don't apologise for venting. Vent whenever you need to. You're going through a very stressful time at the moment and if getting it all out here helps even in the slightest, then it is worth it. I hope today is a better day and you are getting the support that you need. And BTW, way to go Ivy and Noah for putting on more weight. =D>
Kirsty, I can't wait to hear how your scan goes this afternoon. It's so exciting that you will get your first glimpse of your little bub! And I think you are doing the right thing, taking it all one day at a time. When I was pregnant I set little milestones for myself along the way, for example, each ultrasound or doctor's appointment and just concentrated on getting to each of those.
Louise, our bubs were born on the same day! It does sound like Maria is doing really well. You must be proud. O
Gwen, how are you going today?
Michelle, if you pop back in, hi! Thanks for your PM, I will email you!
