I'm 29 weeks and having a bub that will require a stay in the NICU in the Royal Children's for 4 weeks (fingers crossed, could be 6 weeks. Hopefully not 8!)
The thing is, bub will be born at the Women's, and taken straight to the Childrens for immediate surgery. I've been told that I'll need a C-section (unless a miracle happens).
Bub has Gastroschisis (bowels on the outside), is small, my placenta is aging too fast, low fluid, and bub has been in breech since my 20 week scan and is very stubborn and probably won't turn around.
After a C/S I won't be able to go the Childrens to see bub for 24 hours. I know it probably won't seem like much, but I'll barely get a look before they take him/her away.
I don't want to be seperated from my baby...
Has anyone gone through you being at one hospital, and bub being at another??
