    Update!
So Sal has been having contractions since Sunday night, nothing regular but getting more intense. Coming every 2 - 3 mins for 15 mins, then stopping totally for 20 mins then every 10 minutes for an hour, then a cluster againl.....you get the drift. The Docs have been saying that it looks like labour has started, the Neonatologists have come for their talk about a 30 weeker, the midwives are monitoring but.....
    NOTHING...!!!
I know it sounds weird to be upset that he isn't born yet, but we were convinced this was it, he was on his way and at 30 weeks ( or very nearly ) his chances were excellent for coming home perfectly fine. After 6 LONG weeks in a square hospital room, eating **** hospital food, having newborns and their Mum's as roomates crying all night and day, not being able to even PICK UP Charlie and give him a hug and being in almost constant pain for three freaking days, enough was enough! We just wanted it done and the three of us back together again ( albeit in a caravan 10 minutes from the hospital ) and to know that our new little boy was here and we were almost done!
So, cervix is still the same length and is still closed, so we are no closer to meeting our newest son. The pains are showing no sign of letting up OR getting stronger so no one knows what is going to happen. Will full labour kick in? Will they stop and we will get to 32 weeks?

It's a bit of a whinge thread today, sorry guys, we are REALLY happy to have gotten here at a 'safe' 30 weeks instead of a measly 24 but it's been really hard for Charlie not to have his Mummy for that long too.......

That sounds really frustrating! Hoping Sally isn't too uncomfortable and either way you have a happy and healthy little one! Huge to everyone!

This must be such a difficult time for you both. I hope your bub stays safely inside a wee bit longer but understand your frustrations at your situation. Big hugs to you both (((())))

Oh hun it must be so exhausting for all of you, and Sal being in pre labour for three days, poor thing she must be feeling shattered as well, along with weeks of crap hospital food, seaparation of your family, there is only so much of it that one could deal with, I couldn't do the 5 days at the PH .

It is completley understandable that you feel much safer at 30 weeks than 24 weeks HUGE difference in the chances for bub, and that you want your family back together again. I think being put on bed rest for so long is mentally and emotionally a lot more difficult than most expect. Each time I have mentioned how long Sal has been in on bed rest to my DH, he certainly picks up his act with the helping out, I think he would go insane if I was on bred rest.

It is good news that her cervix is closed and the same length even though it is very short.

Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers, and sending you strength and courage as you move through the next few days and weeks
    Take care xxoo

Oh what a frustrating situation. I hope the pains ease off and your little guy stays put for a bit longer yet. Poor little Charlie. I wish you all the strength you need to get through this.

Thinking of you both, and little Charlie and the new little man too.

I hope it's just a few more weeks (either inside or outside) and he's home just like his brother.

    Hugs

    Being released today!!!! Hooray!
So, the contractions have stopped and the cervix is still closed and we are being allowed to leave
Only allowed to be within 15 mins of a tertiary hospital so staying in Coburg instead of going home to Daylesford but it's outside! Fresh air! Being allowed to walk around ( a little bit ) and gently resume life with Charlie yipee!!!!
Little boy weighed 1495 at last scan and as we are at 30 weeks, if he is born he will still need specialised care but not for as long ( hopefully ) as his big brother and has an excellent chance of coming home and doing just fine.
Sigh of relief that he's still in there and a big CHEER for getting out!!! It's been a loooooooonnnnnngggggg stay
