Did they give you a reason for your DD's early arrival?

My risk is 50/50 and likely between 31-35 weeks, but I am planning on being in the 50% that goes to FT, or at the very least past DD's gestation!

DS1 was born at 33wks from ruptured membranes
chances of having another prem increaded to 20% with subsequent pregnancies
    DS2 was born at 38wks!
how many wks was your DD born at?

DS1 was born at 30 weeks due to PPROM at 28 weeks.
DS2 tried coming at 26 weeks, but we held out until 34+3

I guess it really depends, why your first baby was prem and how early they were. Another factor is that a pregnancy after a prem is usually monitored much more closely so the chances are better to get further a long.

I'm on the home stretch now, DS1 tried to come at 32 weeks, but kept him in till 34 wks. Will just have to wait and see with this 1. I had my steriod injections this week just in case, but have had no additional check up with OB, next appt is at 33 weeks. Haven't really been in a postion to take it any easier, so just hoping and praying this one stays in a little longer than DS1.

My cousin had her first at 26weeks and went on to have number2 at 33weeks.
My friend also had her first at 26weeks and her second 10days post dates and was induced. Neither had anything the second time around to prevent the labour early like a cerclage or bed rest etc. My cousin was on nifedipine and bed rest for a week prior to having her son at 33weeks as she was contracting. They managed to hold him in an extra week and get the steroids to work well before he arrived.
It often depends on why you had a prem bub in the first place as to the risk of having another prem.
