    Red face Introducing Henry

Henry was born on the 3rd of October 2010, he was 8 and 1/2 weeks early, he was born in Melbourne at the Mercy for Women, he weighed 1525gms. I have bipolar and did not know I could become pregnant. So he is very special, he was in NICU for 3 weeks, then transfered to Bendigo SBCU all the nurses and doctors in both places were so nice, supportive and looked after him. He started in crib 6 and when they moved him to crib 18 I cried cos I did not know they moved him I thought he had not made it I was happier when I saw him in the new crib, they also told me that he graduated closer to the fat farm, he got moved once more into crib 32 I was so happy that he was progressing but my milk did not come in I was a little stressed about this I tried to pills and everything. When I was told he was coming home and that he was going to live at SBCU (Special Baby Care Unit) I was happy because this meant he was coming home to our house. I got over the fact I could not breast feed him but formula was new friend and cleaning bottles etc was a way of my new life. Before we left to take Henry home were we on the front page of our local newspaper. I just took him yesterday to have his 6 month injections, all by my self for the second time. He is six months old now doing very well.

So glad to hear Henry is doing well. I have little Sam that was born at 31+3 and had a similar experience with them moving him without telling me. Yay for 6months.

Before you know it he will be running from you lol

Congratulations on the birth of Henry!!
My daughter was in Bendigo SCBU for 2 weeks in January after being in Royal Children's for 4 weeks.

I loved the intimacy of Bendigo, just one room compared to the hustle and bustle of RCH.
She was born at 34 weeks with her intestines on the outside, and we were transfered to Bendigo to establish feeds, which happened quite quickly.
