Way to go Ivy Weldone missy!!
Oh my goodness!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAY Ivy!!! How exciting!
Yay Ivy! "Now at last I can do what the big ones do."
Yay Ivy thats great news
Well I have some news too.....
Willow is pulling herself up and standing now!!!
It won't be long before she is walking and if I remember rightly
thats when the fun really begins.
Oh yes, Happy 1st Birthday Ronan for last Saturday, I hope everyone had a wonderful day.
Raven
Hi Raven - YAY for Willow too. I bet she is proud of herself!!!
Kyla also had something exciting happen today too. My MIL was looking after her for a few hours and after a walk, took her nappy off for a bit to cool her down. She put Kyla on the little potty I had bought (more just for Kyla to get used to having around rather thatn to start toilet training). Anyway, Kyla did wee wees in the potty!!!
Pretty exciting - although I think it was mainly fluke!!
wow lots of Way to Go's to Willow & Kyla too!
Nixon has a WTg also, he has started crawling on all 4's! although this is few and far between, he will do a couple and then push his bum up in the air then sit down. And if he wants to get to something quicker he reverts to his commando so he can get there in a hurry!
He also started pulling himself to a stand! He has so many bumps and bruises though my god. yesterday i went into his room after he woke up and he was standing again the end of it and had managed to knock the baby monitor and a pic frame off his chest of draws, he thought he was pretty clever!
Trish i love your ticker great photo of the boys, i can't beleive they are almost 9months old!
Yay Willow and Kyla and Nixon!!!! Our little babies are AMAZING!!!!!
I agree, Go Nixon!!!
I am finding all these baby milestones (mine & others) so much fun to watch! These little people are fantastic. Somehow it seems extra special for them.
Wow, there's some exciting stuff happening in here at the moment!!
A huge "well done" to Ivy, Willow, Kyla & Nixon!!
WTG kiddies!
Hi there Bec. How are you going? Not too long to go for you now!
BEC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good to see you in here, girl, I have missed you!
How are you going?
Hey Carrie :)
I'm doing well thanks! Although I'm getting quite big and finding it harder and harder to run around after Joshua!
Today was actually a bit of a milestone...I'm 32+4 today (my ticker's a bit ahead of itself) and that was the gestation that Josh was born at. So any extra days from here on in are a huge bonus. I'm going for an ultrasound on Saturday to have doppler studies done on the placental blood flow, so I'll be very interested to see how it goes, knowing that this is when the problems started last time. (I've been having them regularly and they've been fine up until now).
How is everything going with you? Are you still doing the needles? How long do you have to do them for? I'm sending lots of positive vibes your way!
How is Kyla going with her standing?
Hey Tiff!!! :D Just previewed my post and saw yours! I'm well thanks (see above!) How are you doing? Any more walking from that little miss of yours? I've been thinking of you lots lately...
Love Bec x
Hi everyone,
My son was born at 33 and a half weeks at 2110grams. He is 4 now and still is my special little man. He weighs in at just under 15kg. He spent 2 weeks in a NICU at Neapen hospital and 1 week in a SCN in Dubbo. Since then has come along in leaps and bowns. Its hard to tell he was premie. He is a tad smaller than other kids his age but nothing that stands out dramatically.
Hey Bec,
Thanks for thinking of me. I was doing alot of thinking about you too, was even talking to my MIL about you today, you must have gotten the vibes and just HAD to pop in! Glad that everything is going well. Fingers crossed that everything keeps going well and your gorgeous one comes into the world well and on time.
Ivy is still stepping but only two at a time, Noah is up to four steps today! Once he saw Ivy go, he just took off but he needs encouragement and open arms!
They both had their hearing tests today and all appears to be well, even with Ivy, so that is good news for us.
We met up with Castle this afternoon. It was lovely and Gemma is so cute and her boys are so good looking. I was really nervous but Castle was just so nice! (Hi Castle)
Anyway, Bec, I hope, if everything stays well for you that you will be popping in more now!! Talk soon. My email is tigga_m@hotmail.com if you want to chat!
Hi spunkymonkies!
Welcome to Bellybelly. Wow, that your little man is 4 now. You have a wealth of experience to share with all of us. Hope to get to know you better.
wow bec thats a milestone to get to, i think i'll be a bit nervous the day i reach 33w3d
Has the pregnancy gone quick for you because you already have Josh?
Glad you are well and hope the scan goes great on Saturday and bub continues baking all the way to the end for you!
Hi again.
Thanks for the welcome. We have been pretty lucky with our son, he hasn't showed many signs of being premie until now he is in preschool and getting ready for school next year. His teachers have picked up on some learning issues and he has to have speach therapy . He is due to start school next year as he turns 5 in December. But if we feel he is not ready we will be holding him back. If he was born when he was due he wouldn't be going to school until 2009 so we will be keeping a close eye on the situation.
hi spunkiemonkies - your son made wonderful progress by the sounds of it.
wtg Noah and Ivy on the walking - one step at a time, soon your will be running your mummy around in marathons
Tiff- glad their hearing tests came up okay what a relief !
Bec - hope this precious one is cosy and well - hope scan is showing perfect growth and blood flows.
Nic- how is the nausea ? yay for Nixon's crawling
Carrie - how is your cycle going ? keep on going Kyla
Raven - wonderful news on Willow's progress too  -not long before she will be off and you chasing her.
my guys are still clocking around the floor , Joel is up rocking on all fours but going nowhere except backwards and stuff under the chairs. Both sit well with cushions behind because in their playful excitement they thorw themselves backwards. They stretch and reach, rock and roll too.
Hi spunkymonkies--don't have any second thoughts about holding your son back if you want to. You will find that that has become so popular, even when there have been no issues with prematurity or learning. It's especially popular for boys. I agree, it sounds like he's made great progress!
Tiff, it was fun meeting you & seeing the bambini in person! The 9 kids had such a great time together.
Bec, I hope the scan goes well and that you can simply enjoy having another look at your beautiful baby.
I love hearing about all the clockers & crawlers.
Hi Bec – That’s fantastic that you’ve passed “D-day”!! I really hope that things proceed well and you get your full termer. It sounds like they are keeping a close eye on you!
Things are going well here. Yep, I’m still on the injections and having another scan on Monday so will be doing them til at least then. If all goes well, hopefully egg pickup will be Wednesday. Thanks for the positive vibes!! I’ll send them your way too!
Kyla is doing well, standing lots, but still no sign of standing unsupported or walking. But I suppose she’ll get there all in good time. Hopefully the orthotics will help when she gets them.
Hope Josh is doing good too, and goodluck with the ultrasound on Sat. I hope you’ll pop in and let us know how you go.
Tiff- It’s so exciting that Ivy and Noah are walking now! And great that their hearing tests went well. Glad to hear that you and Castle could get together – you two are so lucky!
Hi Spunkymonkies and welcome! Your little boy sounds like he is doing so well. I look forward to chatting to you more.
Trish- Glad to hear you are doing well and that Sam and Joel are managing to get around. Do they play together at all?
Hi Castle, Nic and everyone else, hope that everything is going well!
Hi premmie mums!
Just checking in quickly...school holidays begin tomorrow & I won't be on the computer for a bit. Gemma is continuing to thrill us. She is now pulling herself across the floor--not truly crawling, although she does get up & rock, but she's quite mobile! Blast, & I was hoping this would be a couple of weeks away! With DS no 3 I had about 3 weeks of a blissful time when he sat on a blanket & played with toys, before he could crawl. She is not sitting, & my guess is she'll sit & crawl at much the same time.
Tiff, I hope little grommet girl Ivy has a great recovery.
I hope everyone is well and that all the beautiful babies are continuing to delight their families. Happy Easter!
Hi Castle - it's been quiet in here recently!!
Hope you have a great Easter too. Gemma sounds like she'll be off crawling in no time!
Hope everyone else is doing well.
Just popping on quickly to wish Nixon the happiest of 1st birhtdays!!!
Happy birthing day Nic. Hope you had a lovely day and made many happy memories!!!!
Hello!
Thanks Tiff. we had a great day today.
nixon had fun playing with his pressies thismorning, esp on his new trike! we took him around the block on it he thinks its fantastic.
We went and had our ultrasound but Nix got a bit grumpy by the time we got in there (had to wait 45min) so DH missed half the ultrasound cause he had to take Nixon out.
We returned to the hospital for the first time today. It was really good to go back there, i think i cried all my tears out over the last 5 days so today was more moving on and relecting back.
Nixon got it a good old mess this arvo with some bday cake. i will try and upload pics soon.
we are off to sydney tomorrow for a week, have his party on Saturday and then a wedding next week.
How is everyone else and kiddies going?
Carrie- HUGE congratulations mate that is awesome news! how have you been feeling?
Glad to hear Nic!!!
Yeah Carrie, CONGRATS all round here too!!!!
We are going well. We gave up baby group at the end of term, so are still feeling a little lost atm over this. Not sure what to do next.
Ivy is so very ill at the moment but Noah is going great guns! He is such a funny little guy! A friend brought a second hand ride in car (blue plastic thing) He absolutely loved it and would not give it up for anyone today. It has a rope tied to the front of it so the girls can pull him around. He was sitting in it going 'brooom! brooom!' When the girls were sick of pulling him, they plonked him in front of the tele and he sat perched in his 'car-car' for over an hour!!!! He never sits still that long. Guess he just loves the car.
HI all,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NIXON! And happy birthing day to you Nic!!
Congratulations on passing the 12 week mark Nic! Bummer that Trent missed half of the ultrasound (maybe Nixon is already jelous of bubby getting attention LOL).
Tiff- How cute with Noah and his car, I can just imagine him!!! I hope Ivy is better soon, the poor little one, she is always in the wars! Are they both walking now?
Thanks Tiff and Nic for your congratulations. Things are going well, I'm already starting to get tired in the afternoons and have been hotter than usual and thirsty, which are all good signs. We have the first ultrasound on 2.5.07, but DH might miss out as he's off to HongKong for 2 weeks to work :(
Kyla is doing well, she's repeating everthing we say atm, very cute! We have been having some discipline problems though as she has been really testing out the boundaries!! I suppose she is nearing the terrible 2s!!! She is still not walking, but walks around on her knees and stands up with furniture and stands on her tippy toes which I suppose would be strengthening her ankles and arches. We haven't yet got the orthothics, I don't know how long they'll take.
I'm glad to hear from you both - It's been so quiet in here. Which is probably a good thing - it must mean everyone's doing good!
Hi Carrie,
No. Noah thinks he can walk but he actually only takes a few shuffles forwards and then dives into the first person he can or onto a cushion if there are no humans or dogs to soften the blow. Ivy walks everywhere. It's so cute to watch, although she hasn't done much walking at all today, just clinging. Noah is also having some biting issues atm. I've never had this with any of the girls, it's new territory for me. He is getting better though and HATES time out!!!
Yeah - that's what I have to do with Kyla (time out). NOTHING else works!! The only thing that I can do to get through to her is to put her in the bathroom for 30 sec with the door shut. I feel so mean, but she needs to learn when she is doing something wrong. I don't want to smack, telling her 'no' or 'stop' does nothing (she keeps doing it with a cheaky look on her face, putting her in her bedroom didn't work (she enjoyed that!) so the bathroom is it. Do I sound mean???
No, not at all. You sound like a great Mum, want to adopt me? LOL!
Seriously though, I put Noah in a corner and I have to hold him there for 30 secs. He HATES it but, like Kyla, Noah just laughs at NO ; thinks it's a game!!!
How on earth do you get him to stay in the corner?????
How's Ivy doing btw?
I hold him there.;)
Ivy is a really long story. She's still unwell.
Hi girls! :D Just popping in to share some good news...I've just about made it to term with this baby! Having fully expected another premmie bub, I've been pleasantly surprised to make it all the way through this time. And bub is arriving this week! I'm booked in for a c-section on Thursday and am very much looking forward to meeting our little one.
How is everyone else doing?
Tiff, how is little Miss Ivy going? Any improvement? I hope she is feeling better. And Mr Noah, what's he up to? I've been meaning to send you an email for so long. I'm sorry I have been so slack. I will get on to that very soon!
Carrie, how are you feeling? You must be coming up to an ultrasound? I hope Kyla is well.
Nickers, I hope little PowPow is treating you well! How is Nixon doing?
Hi to the other mums too...Trish, Castle, Raven, Spunkymonkies...hope you and your little ones are all well.
Love Bec
Hi bec, how exciting that in a few days you will be holding your FULL TERM baby in your arms! congratulations on getting to the end of your pregnancy, it must be a wonderful experience.
Nixon is well, although he came out in a rash today but think its from his 12m immunisation needles he had on Sat.
Had a MCHN appointment today and she said he has no other symptoms for it being anything else and it should dissapear within 24hrs.
His stats were weight: 10.6kg,(no wonder i cant carry him 4 long!) length: 79.5cm, HC: 45.5cm. so his length and weight just keep climbing the ladder, he has always had a small head so looks like he will continue to!
He had a Paed appointment last Friday and all is well, he is happy for me to not need to find another paed when we move to sydney unless i feel something is not right.
baby powpow going well, i havent put on any weight this pg so far, which is good because i started off 6kg heavier! but i know im not excersing like i should be, everything else just seems to come first and there is not enough hours or energy in the day!
Hi ladies,
Just a quick note while someone is occupied watching Bob the Builder....
Bec and Nic, sounds like everything is going well! Bec, I hope you have a super-smooth c/sec on Thursday. I had a fantastic recovery after mine with Gemma and let's hope you have the same.
Gemma is doing so well. She began crawling a couple of weeks ago, while we were away for the holidays. I had hoped she'd sit first, but no such luck! She still doesn't sit unsupported very well. She crawls all over the house--it's slow and methodical, but she follows me everywhere! I love seeing her little face coming around a doorway.
Tiff, hugs to Ivy. How are you feeling yourself?
Hello to everyone else. These children are beautiful!
Hi All,
I hope everyone is well now. Well things are good here. Liams collar bone is healing up nice, well so far anyway, the doctor said he still might need to get under the knife, but we'll see in a few months.
Kayla is still loving School, although she did get into trouble the other day she hit a little boy in her class because he was picking on her.
Willow is all but walking now, she took one step out from the coffee table the other day and went flat back down on her bum. But she trying, we think she is sick of playing with the things on the floor and wants to the higher things
Bec, Congrats to making it to term hun, VERY happy for you :D
Tiff, How is Ivy?? I really hope she is better :hugs:
Anyway thats it for now.
Raven
Hi girls!
Wow Bec! I am SO excited for you. Have you got someone to make the announcement on BB?
It must be very weird having a baby go to term. I can't wait until you have your gorgeous one safely in your arms. Thinking of you.
Nic, glad to hear that everything is going well at your end. Nixon, sounds as though he is very well. Hope the rash is nothing to worry about.
Castle, so good to hear that Gemma is crawling how cute. Soon, she will be up on tiny pegs walking around everywhere.
Raven - wow at Willow taking a step. You must be really proud!! There will be no looking back now!!! Better start babyproofing higher up!
Thank you all for asking after my little girl. After a very big run around I think we got some much needed help and she is looking up. Still not 100% but SO much better than she was. SHe even had a giggle yesterday, instead of a grizzle. We ended up going back on all treatment for her ear plus some hydrogen peroxide in her ear too. We've had blood tests done to see if there is anything else going on for her but we have to wait to see the ENT next week for those and where to go to from here. Here ear still looks a bit mucky but heaps better than before and she isn't so sick either. All good things.
My gorgeous, easy going boy is finally walking on his own. He walks with his arms bent up into little chicken wings but he's not falling or hurling himself into the nearest lap anymore and he prefers to walk over crawling. He also had his tongue tie released yesterday and can stick his tongue right out now. I have tried him with a sippy cup today and he can use it!!! Next, I'm going to try a straw!
As for me (thanks for asking Castle) I had a test done a couple of weeks ago and then got an infected haematoma. I was pretty unwell there for a little bit but am alot better now, with antibiotics. The stupid thing just keeps on building up though so now I am thinking I will have to go into have it drained. Hope not. Have gotten this far without it.
It's so good to hear from everyone and see how all the cherubs are doing.
LOL at Ivy still not being 1005! I know you meant 100% Tiff!
Glad to hear that she is getting better though.
Look at your ticker pic, its so gorgeous! u take the best piccy's!
WTG on willow's first steps and Gemma's crawling!
Nixon's rash seems to have all but dissapeared so must have been from his needles thank fully.
Bec- Congratulations on going full term!!!!! What a relief it must be for you! Goodluck with the c-section, I'll be looking forward to your birth announcement and pics!
I have my first scan tomorrow (7 weeks), so hoping that it all goes well.
Nickers- That's good that Nixons rash has died down. That's great to hear how well he is doing! Wow at putting no weight on yet, you must be eating really well and exercising!
Castle- I'm glad Gemma is doing good and getting better at the crawling.
Raven- Oh, I didn't know Liam had hurt his collar bone, what happened? Poor Kayla, with the boy picking on her, at least she stood up for herself - just probably not in the best way LOL (he was probably a bully!). Great news that Willow is starting to walk, yay, well done!
Tiff- It's good to hear Ivy is on the mend, poor bubba! LOL at the image of little Noah walking around with his arms like chicken wings, how cute! Sorry that you have been under the weather too!
Well things are going well here. I have been pretty tired and needing to nap a lot and have had lots of nausea, but am taking B6 and it seems to have been better over the last few days. I have my scan tomorrow, which I'm looking forward to.
Kyla is doing well, she seems to be expanding her vocabulary daily, copying everything! Today she took a few steps from mum to a chair! Wowee. I then tried it later (with her shoes off) from me to a coffe table and the poor thing fell and wacked her head on the table! I felt awful!!
Kyla is still really testing the boundaries atm, she just seems to get frustrated really easily and will then hit out, or throw things. I'm hoping that this may resolve a bit when she starts walking (let out her energy through this and be able to do more!)
