We have the one pad version - and have no problems at all. The only times it's gone off are when DS is laying longways at either end of the mattress (leaning against the head/foot of the cot).. other than that - it's been great. You can adjust the sensitivity (if you have ceiling fans or a room fan for summer - you'll need to test it as it can pick that air movement up as breathing!).
thank you for your replys. we've decided on this monitor since we've heard nothing but good reviews, and since this is only first bub will get a good one that'll last the next bub too.
thank you for the offer jodi, i would've bought a second hand one but i got a great sale price on the newer model for the same price as the other one we we're looking at, so i've put that on layby.

We had the 1 pad version when DS was little and like Nettie said only had a few alarms go off when he was lying at the head or foot of the cot. I just have it with the sound now with DS. We have bought the newest one for this one on the way with the 2 pads and room temp gage on it.
