    Fisher Price Papasan Swing??

Hi ladies. I'm thinking about getting one of these for this bub. Any comments/recommendations? They are pretty pricey to buy new so if I go ahead I'll try and get one from ebay I think.

DD had pretty shocking silent reflux and all the seats in the rockers/swings I found were too bent for her, IYKWIM? As in, she was in a sitting position which made the reflux worse. The Papasan swings look like the baby is less bent and more flat-out. I hope this is making sense!? I have baby brain and it's past my bed-time

I'm hoping this wee one won't have reflux but I like the idea of having him up off the floor and able to watch what's going on around him. Also thought the rocking motion could come in handy during the witching hour. But I did wonder if I would then have problems getting him to sleep in his bassinet without the rocking? Oh the dilemma

Sorry about the ramble. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I got one for DS and he loved it - too much probaly as he wouldnt sleep anywhere alse but in it lol. Its currently doing the rounds a friend of mines and her dd loves it too. I didnt buy mine new (i wasnt too keen on spening all that $$ on something they only use for a few months) so i bought a 2bd hand one on ebay for $100 and it has been worth every cent. It was in great condition.

DD loved her swing - although the rocking sometimes made her chucking worse (think she gets motion sickness like Mummy!) - she had no issue moving from swing to her stable bed though. we used to only rock for short times - if she fell asleep, we turned the rocking off as i didn't feel she needed it and would sleep contendedly without it. we also have a bouncer that put her a bit more upright and she would sleep in that when her reflux was bad. both got her off the floor...

IS that the one that goes sideways? DS loved it even when he hated his normal swing

    Thanks everyone!

Pandora - I think it swings sideways and front-back.

Briggy's girl - turning it off once baby is asleep sounds like a great idea. Then hopefully if he wakes too soon or is in a light sleep he will settle himself without the rocking. One can only hope

didispunk - Did you buy a new one, or second-hand?
