    another pram ?...

car seat.... cot.... easy...pram not so easy. !

i'm having difficulty choosing a pram and have been doing hours of research and still can't decide. i love the look of the strider 4 and had my heart set on it, plus a bonus, it's on sale at the moment, but the only thing thats putting me off is some peoples reviews that it is hard to walk on the road.
my inlaws live not to far away from us and we walk there often, and there is no footpaths and would hate to buy this pram if the wheels are difficult on the road.
i'm not really fussed on the look of the phil and teds prams (just a personal opinion) however i've read they're fantastic and everyone who has one says they wish they had of bought one to begin with.
are they really a great pram (P &T's) and do they handle the road as i like to go for walks.
if you have a strider 4 have you walked on the roads and found them hard.
any reviews on both would be appreciated.

My DD is 9 months old and I love my strider 4. Having said that [U]every[U] pram has it's pros and cons. I love the stability, height and look of the strider. Being reversible was fantastic when bubba was smaller and she slept in the bassinet for the first 6 weeks of her life (we didn't have to worry about portacots or bassinets when travelling). I also have a maclaren stroller which I use if we are going somewhere quickly (or need extra space in our boot) and use my strider as my walking pram beacuse it's very comfy. I walk on footpaths and the road and don't have any issues. The whole pram choice thing is very confusing and most people end up switching to a smaller pram when you hit the 2-3 age so just make sure you look at what's comfortable for you and you can take it in and out of your boot easily. Access to the basket under the pram is also something to look at. The strider's basket is excellent when using the seat, unfortunately it is very difficult when the bassinet is on, but I found I wasn't out for many big shopping trips at this stage anyway.

I recently purchased the Phil & Teds - Vibe and I love it! I don't know too much about the strider as I didn't look at it. The pram I purchased is great to push around, it looks really great, a option for a toddler seat if necessary. Another reason I purchased the vibe is b/c I have had bad back problems for many years and since being pregnant it has flared up again so my husband was concerned about me lifting a heavy pram in and out of the boot. The P&T - Vibe is only approx 10kg unlike many other prams I looked at that were above 12kg and more. Its always going to come down to personal preference. My opinion is if you are happy with the strider then go with it, don't worry about other people say, take it for a test drive around the store and see what you think, ask the sales person there opinion but if you are happy with it, it doesn't matter what other people think.

I got a mothers choice 3 wheeler and have just discovered it doesn't take a toddler seat. DS will only be 18 months when my next bub is born so it looks like we might have to buy a new pram. That is something to look at when buying a pram if you are planning or there is any chance of more kids.

I was also looking at the strider but went with a bemma Q by swallow instead, so far it's been great!
It was also voted as one of the top prams by choice magazine. My sil also has one and runs with it she thinks it an excellent pram too!

I've heard alot of good things about the P & T tho!
Best of luck with pram hunting!
