anyone know how Gymboree clothes are sized?

Does anyone know about the kind of cut that Gymboree clothes use for their baby stuff? I've seen the brand (it's a US brand) highly recommended, and it occurs to me that buying winter stuff at the end of the US winter, when it's on special, would make it worth the postage to Aus. But I don't know what the cut of the clothes is like, and I find it hard to tell that kind of thing from the photos.

DD is a chubby bub at present (6 months old). Really very chubby (and very lovely with it, I must say). I find that some brands of clothes I've bought have been no good at all because they seem to be designed for kids who are much skinnier at this age (some stuff from Target, for example - even stuff a whole size up just didn't fit comfortably around her waist, as the elastic in the pants was too tight). I find, for example, that the Pumpkin Patch stuff fits her beautifully - it seems to be cut for a baby that is basically the same shape that she is, so it's really comfy.

Does anyone have any Gymboree clothes for their littlies? Do you like them? What size and shape are your kids and how well do they fit?

    Thanks!

we have a dress which was a 12/18 months(i think, i have put the dress away) and it fit dd up until 2 DD is tiny though so it seems to me that they are normal sizes..
for a chubby 6mo maybe go the 12/18 month stuff..

    Hi

We get gymboree stuff for my DD all the time. I just love the stuff. You can get loads on ebay either in Australia or USA. Brand new with tags is what I buy. The sizing for DD who was also a chubby bubby is whatever age she is now. Although I must admit we always bought the next size up for a really comfy fit.

Why do you buy it on ebay? Is it cheaper to buy on ebay than to buy it on special directly from their website?

Tenar, I only ever buy directly from their website because of their gymbucks rewards program. For every $50 you spend you get a $25 voucher to spend during their redemption period which pays for the postage on your next order basically. With the AUD trading so well against the USD you get some great bargains ATM because they are the opposite season to us. Their sizing is awesome and I love that they have slim fitting clothes. If you measure your DD's height then you cannot go wrong with choosing the right size for her as they are pretty accurate.
