Gosh Amali, my son still hasn't made it into his own real room! When we brought Pip home from hospital, we had put his cradle in our walk-in wardrobe and that's where he stayed until 9 months, when he outgrew his cradle - the cot wouldn't fit in there, and we had to hurriedly finish renovating our bedroom so he would be able to fit into our joined study upstairs!
This time we're working on getting Pip's room sorted so he can move out of the study, and we can set that up as a nursery. Least last weekend we finally moved the computers and desks out of the room and it doesn't look like a stationery cupboard.
Don't stress - you're moving home, your PP would rather a loving mum than a beautiful room for a month, and then boxes! Least you'll be able to set up the new house the way you want before you move her in!
