Hi everyone, just wondering what you've bought that was a bargain and also what your favourite nursery/baby item is?????

My bargain is my rocking chair as I didn't pay one red cent for it and I've always wanted one.
My favourite thing would be a little green dragon I was given for my birthday for the nursery I love him he's so cute!

    oh so many..

    hi snoopea,
my all time favourite item is this little giraffe, its yello with little blue squares all over him and a pink ears, green knobby things on the top of its head - very colourful, my DS LURRRRRRVES it! i put it beside the change table so everytime i change him, instead of him whingeing the whole time he stares at his giraffe and baby talks to it! its so cute! so yes, everyone should buy a giraffe!
ooooh also, the baby einsein dvd set, i got a full set of 24 for $80(usually a few hundred!) off ebay! my bubs, only 9 weeks old and sits and watches a whole dvd which goes for around half an hour! very handy for a little bit of rest time!

The best and most useful piece of baby equipment i bought, was the Little Squirt.

it's an attachment for the toilet, you squirt off all the poo from nappies with it, makes modern cloth nappying so easy peasy, i love it and use it multiple times per day (still, and my bub is 21 months old now).

not glam, but very practical item. after all, until toilet training, we gotta deal with the poo somehow!

I was gonna say my minkee breast pads Gigi (im practical to babe) ..heheh cause I made my first pair from my fabric scraps and they were a life saver for me when I first started BFing.

I have one of those giraffes Melissa and its just as much loved here as it is at your house.

My favourite thing is this fold out cloth book that goes around the top of the cot that Mateauz loves to death. Its bright and funky with lots of things for him to look at..im pretty sure its Lamaze????

ATM its one of those wooden based things with beads on wire. You move the beads around the loops etc. Old school toy and dd loves it. Got it from the markets for $4 and has been so worth it. Perfect size for her little hands as well

Maz, i've just bought some bamboo breast pads, so I'm going to give them a try I've heard good things about them!

Gigi, I've never heard of it before, where did you buy it from??

Melskys, Sounds sooooo cute, I love stuffed toys they are great to keep little ones busy!

Kate, My daugter at 5 still loves them, I've been meaning to visit our toy factory here as they make them, haven't been lucky enough to find on any where else yet tho!

Thanks, it's been a pleasure to read about your favourite things!

My fav thing is our pram. Got it from a friend who was having a 2nd child so she needed a 'double' pram.

It's a Beema 'Swallow' and came with a basinette that was DS's bed for the first 2 -3months of his life. Now that he's outgrown that, he's in his cot but the pram is now a 'regular' pram which is loved by all of us. We walk most places locally so it's the most used thing in our house!

Nettie, That's good to hear that's the pram that we've purchsed this time around!
Last time we had a $700 bertini pram that didn't last it fell to bits and I rarely use the pram maybe once a fortnight to once a month at the most! I have to say the reviews on the Beema are very posative and i can't wait till bubs arrives so i can give it a whirl!!!!
