just wondering what your experiences of jolly jumpers are? are they safe when used correctly?

My MIL told me the other day she is getting one for her house for our baby. she also has a baby walker, which I am against as I think they are a bit unsafe. Its slightly annoying as I have researched alot into safe products with the nursery such as cot etc, and my MIL has set up a whole nursery of 2nd hand stuff without asking me what I think. (not that I am against 2nd hand, I just mean as there is no instructions etc with anything) I know she is only excited etc, but its a bit freaky when she lives a two minute walk away and has a whole nursery set up (cot, childs bed, change table, high chair, walker, and random dolls that are about 40 years old) before we have even had the baby, and constantly says she will be looking after the baby.
