I have a Close and I do love it, but it's a bit unbearable on some of these hot Brissy days.
DH loves the Ergo, we use the insert with no problems.

But my absolute favourite is the mei tai. As cool as the Ergo, as comfy as the close, and far and away the easiest one to go out for dinner with.

I used my close carrier from newborn until just under 4 months. Then we moved into the Ergo Classic.

Love them both (so much so that I bought a black close carrier to go with my winter baby!)

I had a bubzilla for DD as a newborn but didn't like it that much, so for DS I went a Hug a bub and loved it. Very comfy, could wear it for ages, he slept really well in there, and DH liked to wear it too. As both of them got to around 4months old, I got a Catbird baby piccolo which I love too. Its a mei tei but with buckles. Very comfy, I can still wear DS on my front and he is coming up to 1year old. DH still wears DD in it on his back occasionally and she's a 15kg 2.5yr old.

I loved my hug a bub, and I never had a problem putting it on quickly. We had friends over on the weekend who are having their first baby and they mentioned baby carriers. DH immediately started singing the praises of the hug a bub. He made me get it to demonstrate, so I had to put DS2 in it. I was amazed myself at how comfy it was even with a 15kg lump of a boy in it, .
I borrowed a bubzilla off a friend when DS2 was born to test it out, but I wasn't a fan.
I have seen quite a few Close carriers and they look pretty good, as does the ergo for bigger babies.
