Just wondering if anyone can answer why my music on the unit turns off after a while? i would like it to continue to play, has this happened to any other Oricom 500 users?
I'm pretty sure in the instructions it says it will only play for around 15 mins (don't quote me on it) and you can either repeat the one tune or all of them for those 15 mins or so? I'd check but the manual is in DD's cupboard and she's snoozing far too happily for me to risk waking her! Not sure why they've done it that way, maybe figuring that's the average time frame needed to soothe bub?
I do play them when I want to run the handset batteries flat though and often wish they'd go for longer, but I'm not a huge fan of them otherwise
Thanks. I dont use the ones on the monitor i us emy itunes! much nicer. i have emailed them as i also read that they only play for 15 min, i want my child to sleep longer than that and he wakes when it turns off lol
I have a small ipod dock in the bedroom separate to the monitor...it plays soft music continuously 24/7 so that whenever we go in there which is only at nappy changes or nap times he gets the cue that it is quiet time...seems to wrok for us that way....
yeah... probably the one negative thing about it is the time limit, everything else I can't fault......an ipod dock will have better speakers anyway...the sound quality on the monitor is pretty tinny
No i found the sound to be great Mel and the reason why i chose the unit was because of the ipod function now i have to clutter his draws up with an ipod doc too
maybe it was the tinny preprogrammed music in it that got to me.....lol.....I like the dock cos I had it in our room when he was a bubba until he went into his own room a six months so I guess I was kinda used to doing it that way type thing...in fact it is my ipod and dock he has that we bought to take to hospital for our natural birth we were planning...must save up for another one for me cos i miss my music.....lOL
