Hi Lindsaymaree,

I highly recommend the Oricom Secure Digital moniters. I have the Secure 200 which is fantastic, and my sister has two, the Secure 100 and 300 (i think) and she hasn't had any problems either. Mine plays music (about 5 different lullaby's), it has a night light on baby moniter and torch on parent one, displays room temperature and has virtually no noise/static feedback. The only problem I have had with mine is that it has a slightly annoying temperature alarm which beeps when the baby's room gets too hot (Max 27 deg) or cold (min 16 deg). You can turn the alarm off which is good as the temp range is pretty limited, but the temperature display still flashes - this is not noticable though.

This is the third moniter I have had - the first I bought was the Tomy Walkabout Premier which had terrible noise/feedback - to the point of waking me with a 'train-like' noise in the middle of the night!! I then bought a Roger Armstrong Sleep Easy Light and Sound which was cheaper than the Tomy but had less features. It worked fairly well but it too had a little bit of feedback, especially if mobile phones or electrical appliances are plugged in close by. The biggest problem with this one though was the rechargable battery on the parent unit - it went flat within 2 minutes of being off the charger base, so you couldn't take it into another room or outside, something I often do when DS is having his daytime nap.

Hope this helps.

Lou.
