Baby Monitors!! Which one to get??

Well i have no clue which one to buy?

On one hand I would like the sound and movement one, but maybe it would make me worry too much?

Or do I just go with a basic one so I can tell when she wakes up or is unsettled?

    I am confused

Which one do u have/recommend and why?

    Thanks heaps

I brought the angelcare sound and movement. I found I slept much better when Angus was in the cot asleep! Was great for peace of mind! But in saying that, he has been co-sleeping recently because he is unsettled so isn't on the mats anyway! But is a great sound monitor all the same, and you just change the settings on it when they are not on the mats to just sound like a normal monitor. Def recommend it!

Same as above... I highly recommend it. We bought it due to having a sick baby and the apneo monitor we had from the hosp continually slipped off his tummy..

I wouldn't go without it now..

I have the angelcare monitor and I could not live without it. I LOVE it and it gives me a little peace of mind when the girls are in the bedrooms which are at the other end of the house to our bedrooms. I find it very reliable. HTHs!

I have done a bit of research into this subject and I decided to go with Angelcare sound and movement with twin pads. At least it will give u peace of mind and you can switch it to just sound if you want. They fit in your Basinette as well...

We have the scientific oregon monitor. It is fantastic. It doens't come with fancy movement sensor mats and all but our DD has been in her room since day 1 and she makes so many noises in her sleep that we could always hear her. There are so many out there...a friend went through 4 monitors before she found one she liked. We tested our out before baby came - highly recommend it as our friend found she got a lot of interference in her area - something that would have been good to know before baby came as they couldn't hear bub because of it!

I also have the Angel Care but only with the single Mat. It was fantastic when DD was a litle baby, but once she started to get mobile she would always wiggle off the mat. If I was to do it gain I would get the twin mat. You can quite often pick them up in sales at Target.

I use the Babysense II monitor, its brilliant. One mat in the cradle, 2 in the cot. It is even fine under an inner spring mattress.

The following is a link to Choice Guide to Top Baby Monitors.
An unbiased research such as this is a good help.
I'm going to go with one of the top 3, probably the Phillips or Tomy.

Off topic I know, but why would you bother with an angelcare from the outset if you didn't have any pre-indications that you would need it? I can understand gettingone if there are probs identified once bub arrives but isn't a good old one-way receiver enough for most bubs?
