I to have the Angelcare monitor and sensor mat. DF was a real worrywart with the first baby (DD2) and wanted almost constant reassurance that she was ok while she was sleeping. Buying this eased his mind so much and we used it with DD3 and I'm sure he will want to reuse it with this one. The 1st few months seem to bring out the worst in him lol

We have the Angel Care mat and monitor and it is great. As DD was born early she had a few 'waxy' episodes in SCN. It gave us peace of mind when we brought her home. It has gone off once and she was ok but it took me a few seconds to wake her up. I think she was in a deep deep sleep?
One thing to mention is if you have a pedestal fan on or near the cot, the vibration of that fools the monitor into thinking the baby is ok. Once we took out DD but forgot to switch of the monitor, about an hour later that thing went off...
Ours is about 2.5yrs old so they may of fixed that issue

Another mum with the Angel Care Sound & Movement monitor - we love it
I had a video one originally but it didn't work properly due to all the wireless appliances in our house so we got an Angel Care instead. The video would have been good but I much prefer our sensor pads for peace of mind. I'm not sure how two monitors would work together that closely though, not sure whether they'd interfere with each other or not
