    glider rockers -problem?

    hello
want to ask about a glider rocker we got 2nd hand, as soon as my partner picked it up to move it into the house the round base came off. he looked closely at it and reckons the base has snapped apart. The chair still fits on the base and seems fine, it just isn't secured with anything iykwim. When I sit on it -without baby- it still performs perfectly.
Is this a common thing that goes wrong with them? should I get this fixed or throw it on the verge

I think mine just sort of rests on its base. I don't know that it is actually attached. Not sure though because DD is asleep right now and I don't want to risk waking her by going to check!

It's such a worthwhile investment though! I love my chair and would spend the money twice over to have it.

I agree, I loooove my rocker/glider it was exxy at about $600 but worth every cent. It has a fully attached base though... must be a different style.
