I'd go for the basinette because they are generally higher than the cot so there is not as much bending over - which I assume could be difficult for a c/s wound in terms of soreness. Plus my basinette had castor wheels on it so I could wheel it around the house which meant I didn't have to carry bubs as often if I didn't want to - again something that could be of benefit to a c/s mum?
