Thanks so much. I am already speaking to my OB about pain relief right now as the idea of a suppository worries me. Will let the nurses do as much as they can! I am soaking up all the advice I can atm. Thanks. : )
Ive had 2 c/s, both times that put a supossitory there straight after c/s but that is all,the rest of pain relief is taking orally. There are some threads in the c/s support section that I have posted in and others about tips on dealing with c/s, ie, walk as soon as you can and be mobile etc. I dont know how to post links in here but maybe someone else can?
Ive done both, cot (with my first) and bassinet (with my 2nd child), I have to say bassinet was so much easier as it was at my height and no bending to get the baby out, also so handy to rock them to sleep while laying down right next to your bed.
Have you thought about using a bedside crib? It goes next to your bed at the same height as your mattress and you won't have to get up and down at all. it's great for after caesareans. It lasts until baby is 30lbs as well which is longer than a bassinet which you should only use until baby is four months old.
