    Bassinet sheet sets

Does it matter which bassinet you have? I have the fisher price one and I am now looking for a nice sheet set, just thought I would check before buying.

    Thanks. : )

I don't think so? I've used two different ones, and my sheets fitted both?

Bassinettes and sheet sets come in different sizes so just measure your mattress and check the sizing of the sheets before you buy. I learnt that the hard way...

Really? That is so weird! I borrowed 2 different basinettes for DS and DD1 and then had another different one (out of a pram) for DD2 and all my sheets fit all of them? The only thing it didn't fit was the cradle measurements.

I just folded the cot sheets in half it tucked in still but gave our bassinet mattress some extra padding ( it was a Moses basket btw)

Maybe it is the type of bassinettes I have?

I have one of those regular, run-of-the-mill bassinettes and a Mothers Choice Coco Delux. The Coco Delux is way bigger than the regular bassinette.

I think they vary in size quite a bit. It is best to measure your mattress to make sure. Usually I found the dimensions of the sheet on the back of the packet.

Lisa I have the mothers choice coco as well and it is alot bigger isn't it? It also is a rectangle shaped mattress where as the one I had with my first baby was an oval shape.
I ended up buying some cheap single bed flat sheets and cutting them up to use for it.

Definitely a lot bigger. My other bassinette is an oval mattress too. I bought my sheets for the coco through a store on Ebay. The woman who makes them does them in so many different colours which was great.

I tried the pillow case but he always woke up the second I put him down so I used the t-shirt I'd been wearing that day (it was winter so not gross and sweaty lol). It fitted perfectly, just tuck the sleeves under, and smelt of me so he slept better too

Yes I did see that lady! She does them in heaps of sizes too. I'm just a bit tight when it comes to buying, well anything really so that's why I did my own lol.
