    hi

Its a pretty good idea! I didnt get a basinette but our pram (Beema Q) had teh basinette section that comes in and out and we used this at first in the cot for Ethan so he wasnt in the big cot all on his own. Personally I am glad we didnt buy a separate basinette because they grow so fast and we are already having trouble trying to store the clothes and things he has grown out of. But its a personal decison, have you thought about a sling? I got one for xmas and find them great for keeping Ethan close to me when he's unsetlled and he seemes to love it.

    Good Luck

We were given a Bassinette for DD1. It has done 2 of my cousins and my niece and someone else who had it before my Aunty got it. It is in the bedroom waiting for this little one now. If you have 2 children fairly close together (say about 2 years) The bassinette will come in handy for the early months while the older child still needs the cot. We are almost ready to start putting DD2 onto a matress on the floor, but we dont want her to think the baby is stealing her cot so the bassinette gives that gap for her to realise that she is a big girl now IYKWIM.

We have a wooden cradle bassinette and it was great with DD. I would move her around the house with me while she slept. She would sleep in our room at night and in the lounge during the day.

After DD I lent it to a friend and then we got it back for our next bub. DD used it for about 5 months and this one will probably do the same. We will probably sell it on eBay after this one.
