Hi guys.......
am starting to look into bits and bobs and have come across the beema q pram which i LOVE look of....i like the fact its a bit more bulky cause im not the best pram pusher and think bubs will be safer!!!!
a friend has one and she loves it,says its easy to fold and easy to move round and she loved the bassinet as well......
was just wanting to get some more opinions on this from u experienced ladies.....
also would like to know ur thoughts of buying second hand of ebay or trading post..... im starting to wonder if its worth buying brand new but then like the idea of us having "fresh" things....
it will be our first when we ttc early next year....
thanks sam
We had one and I did love it but you can't have a toddler seat with them only a skate/buggy board and DD will only be 22months so she needs a pram when she has had enough of walking.
The only downside for me is that I have a small car so by the time the pram and car seat were in the car I had no room for shopping I couldn't get a full weeks worth at a time. We forgot last christmas and I had DH, DD and a whole lot of shopping/presents! We recently swapped to a smaller stroller so I could fit shopping in the car.
My personal opinion with prams/car seats when they need to be safe is to buy new. I buy lots of clothes secondhand though.

: spelling!
I absolutely love my Beema Q. I adore everything about it. I got the red one. I have no problems at all folding it up and getting it in and out of my sedan boot.
I love my Beema Q pram as well. I am impressed with how easy it is to fold up. I love how easy it is to push around and it has an impressive turning circle. Even my mum commented on how easy it is to move around.
I have the Beema also (in Red!)
Obviously havent put it to much use yet but it is soooo easy to fold up and down, we also got the bassinet which is just as easy to attatch. Its easy to steer and not that heavy either. I researched prams for 4 months, tested about a dozen of them and got all the info from Choice before settling on the Beema Q.
I would buy it brand new if you can afford to - watch out for specials when they have them, we saved $175 when we bought ours by paying and taking that same day instead of layby.
Just dont go and buy it now, wait until you are atleat 1/2 way pregnant because you get a 12 month warranty which starts from when you take it home from the shop so it may expire before you even get to use it.
I purchased a Beema Q (Black with orange trim) in Winter 2006 from BabyCo in Geelong, Vic for $399 plus $45 for the storm cover ...
As i had a newborn in Winter & living in freezing Ballarat it was the perfect pram to keep my bub warm ...i called it her cocoon
The only thing i didn't like was the length of it i found it to be far too long in length & i was running down shoppers coming around corner of aisles before i could see them
We sold it on Ebay for $180 (including the storm cover) ... it was hardly used during the 5mths that i had it as my baby had severe colic & i hardly ventured out. So, it was sold in immaculate condition ... looked absolutely brand-new ... and the buyer was so wrapt with it. A true bargain.
I honestly would have been happy if anyone had emailed me through ebay & asked to check it out before bidding on it I think that's more than fair as it's a big-ticket item on Ebay ... and i think if someone is happy for you to come to their home and see it before buying then they have nothing to hide.
