I have just bought a Bright Stars playmat with a tummy time cushion. It is not all bells and whistles but why I loved it is the size- it is actually quite compact so i am going to put it in my baby bag and take it everywhere so I can put bubs on the floor if I need to... it was only $20 at the Big W sale

May be a good 2nd playmat if FIL's budget is $100. I have some large ones too for home with toys and lights/music etc

    Happy baby shower!

the biggest one possible. Once they start wriggling those little ones are almost useless.

scope out Deals Direct - i got a huge one (prolly similar to a few together), has a water play mat (so mat with water and floaties in it) at one end, tunnel with toys in the middle, and touch mat at the other with light up things and music. even with delivery it was less than $90.folds up into a bag for transport so we'llbe able to take it other places as well as at home.

DH also grabbed one from Big W last week for $98 - is in the catalogue - looks like a little box with two arches over it but the mat bit has heaps of different ways to fold it for different activities...

oscaroscar I have the jollybaby one, only mine didn't come with the arch with hanging toys (I wish it did). The toys hang from the tunnel on mine. My DS hated the tunnel as the floor is that crinkly material. He loved the round part of the mat though with the music. The water part of ours is now filled with mould and had to be thrown away.

Ohhh I've seen the Big W box type ones... BG have you unwrapped it and played with it? I like the pink one but I wasn't sure if it was going to be big enough??? It was $99 in Brissie but only two left.

I like the fact that you can use it as a bed as well when you go to other ppl's places. 2 in one really. Also with a toddler running around and a baby on the floor, the box kinda is a protection!!
