I've a black Phil and Ted's and haven't had this problem at all and I live in QLD. Never really thought about it being too hot, even with a newborn in it. They aren't fully enclosed at all and if your out in the sun with a newborn that might not be the best idea in the world. Just make sure not to cover bub too much.

    Cheers,

    Beck

Hi i have the black adiva sport and it wasn't too hot over summer. Would highly recomend the adiva sport we love ours we are sadly trading up to the first wheels twin as number two is due in feb and number 1 will only be eighteen months.
    Good luck

Thanks girls for your replies. I didn't really think about the fact that I prob wouldn't be outside with bub on the really hot days anyway! Plus if i went walking, it would only be early in the morning or late in the evening when it is cooler anyway.

I was more thinking of picnics and things that we might get invited too where the pram would be sitting under the shade of a tree but may still get hot - but i guess if it is too hot we would just go home or not go in the first place.

it looks like getting a black pram should be fine.

i have also been looking at the Love n Care Nova too - if anyone has had one of these can you please let me know how you have found it? I can't seem to find any reviews on them at all!

    hi FG,

pretty much everythign is black anyway!

I just bought the love n care nova on the weekend, with the bassinette, obviously havent used it with bub yet but from playing around with it in the store -

very easy to steer (even DH could manouvere around and he has never pushed a pram before - DD even pushed it without smashing into things!!)

very easy to take bassinette in/out of frame and change over to stroller mode

good discounts as apparently a discontinued line

easy to fold down once in stroller mode for hopping on/off the bus (i did it with one hand and held dd's teddy in the other )

so, wihtout actually taking it for a full walk I am very happy (I have always had peg perego's in the past and love them - but when i tried this in comparison to the skate teh price difference spoke for itself)

you can get it on line from my baby warehouse - best price I found (inclusive of bassinette)......

    Hey flowergal,

I guess you've probably already bought your pram by now, but I just wanted to let you, and anyone else who's interested, know that I've seen the Adiva Sport in Sahara online. I love the look of it, and just want to see one in real life before ordering (the shops I've called only have black ones too).

I have a green P&T and it still gets really hot in the newborn and first upright position in summer, best to check the pram has good ventilation even though the P&T does at the sides ours still gets hot, the girls get really sweaty.
