Ok, so are they really worth it? What's the best sort? I really struggled at times when feeding ds. He was so heavy and my arms and back hurt from holding him.
as you'll no doubt be tandem feeding soon (sorry on the assumption) would recommend an ezy-2-nurse pillow designed for tandem feeding and twins, i have been told by so many how great they are and only $35 ex rental i can give you the site if you want, i have mine here eagerly awaiting my chance to use it!
I just used a boomerang pillow you know the triangle pillows you can buy from Kmart or whereever. I found these worked really well. They were puffy and I could also put it around me into the shape I wanted. You don't need to spend a fortune on a "proper" babyfeeding pillow
Tara, I also had a milk bar pillow and hated it, didn't use it at all. Made DS too high to feed comfortably. I just used a cushion from the couch or my pillow from my bed and they were a much betterr height, much more flexible and soft.
I have the milk bar single pillow. It was a godsend with ds, as I have to use the football hold to bf. Wish I had it with the girls as it was easy to cart around to feed anywhere.
PS to my above post - I too use the football hold at home and having the Brest Friend Pillow makes it so easy - I can also walk to the sink to get a glass of water while still feeding bc the pillow holds most of DS increasing weight...and I always forget to have a glass of water on hand until he's already feeding.
i struggled aswell to hold my sons weight for breastfeeding so for my daughter i bought a breastfriend and LOVED it worth everycent supported my back and once she got heavier i could just lay her on the pillow and use my hands to cuddle her(or grooming) i cant wait to use it again with my 3rd child
while im only 25 weeks along im desperate to get it back off my friend just so i know i can use straight away lol
