    Bumbo Baby Seat

I am thinking about getting a Bumbo seat for DD. Does anyone have one or have had one and what do you think of them?

DD used one from 4 months when she could hold her head up to when she was about 2 (and I had to wrestle it out from under her to lend it to a friend!!). She loved it and it was a great way to enable her to sit and watch what I was doing during the day to keep her from whinging.

As it is so portable I also used to use it when we went to the park, to playgroup, on picnics, to the beach, to friends houses etc as a portable feeding chair. It was also good as a second highchair for when guests came over with their babies.

I know other people haven't found them as useful as their babies don't like the chair and some babies with really chubby legs don't fit the leg holes. If you know anyone with one, give it a trial to see if bubs fits, likes it and you think it would be something you would use before buying one.

I hadnt seen one until my g/f recently got one and her daughter loves it! She is 6 months old now and has been in it for the past couple of months. Wish I knew about them way back when...

I had one for DS, I used it from about 10 weeks until he was sitting. Once he could sit by himself I didn't really see the point so he only used it for a couple of months.

We have a bebepod which is similar. DD loved it, I was able to put her in it before she was able to sit by herself and she could look around at the world. I got one with a tray which was really handy as it meant that the toys could sit on the tray and if she dropped them she could retrieve them. We also used it as a chair for feeding until our highchair arrived and will be taking it with us to MIL on Saturday night to feed her there.

I got one for my sister at her baby shower too.

We don't use it as much now that she can sit by herself but it was well worth it.
