    Unfortunatley, yep, even with the tray on, active little critter that he is. It was kind of a half roll from a sitting position, but he would topple over the side, and sometimes the bumbo would topple with him... slightly dangerous!!

    hmmm, maybe not such a good idea then?? I thought they would have quite a heavy base so that couldn't happen.

    I think once bubs is strong enough, they become a bit of a hazard. I have a friend who used hers up to about 7 months before her dd could throw herself out, so I guess it depends on the baby?

    My DD1 used it until she was 2 She never tried to throw herself out of it though.

    My SIL bought one for her bub when he was about 3 months, and well, lets just say the novelty wore off quite quickly
    I think they'd be great if they were made a little heavier at the base, and if they had some sort of fabric over them. The ones I have seen are sort of rubbery and I think they're get a little hot and sticky in summer.

    Both my girls still use the one we have when DS isnt in it!

    They are 29 months and 18 months old
