I have read that the Fisher Price capsule avail from Target is made by the same company that do Safe n Sound Unity- just in diff colours/logo etc.
But the Hipod Delta Capsule and the Steelcraft Carrier Capsule are also on sale at Target.
They are all the same price (on sale) so I gather they are relatively equal, but before I purchase one, can anyone give me any recommendations, pros/cons?
Hi JellyBean - I have the Steelcraft Cruiser capsule. I really like it so far and Blake seems comfy in it. The major benefit of this capsule for us is that is is part of the Cruiser Travel System - we take the capsule out of the car and it clips straight onto the pram frame. Its been great to get out and about in eg to the shops, ABA meeting etc. I think the FP one may have a higher weight rating than the Cruiser (12kg instead of 9kg?) but i'm not sure.
i have the FP one and its great , DD was in it until 10 mths (she is small ) and it can go up to 12kg if you wnat to keep them rear facing , the capsule fit into my phil and teds and they go into the peg peragos as well
got it on sale , she would still be in it (11mths and 8kg) but DH insisted she go in a maxi rider ... but she looks sooo tiny in it .. but she would hate not being able to see me at her age now.
I ended up getting the Hipod- as it takes up to 12 kgs, and the lady at Target told me they are discontinuing the Fisher Price one!? Not sure if that is all Target stores.....
Bummer. I agree with you tellytubby about the colour- it would be nice if they had a softer unisex colour to go with the black- like a light green or something. Hopefully this rearward-facing bub will be too busy looking at my forward-facing DS!!
The Steelcraft Cruiser Carrier and the Hipod Delta are on sale again. We are finding space a real issue in our car so looking at getting a capsule to begin with....I'm leaning towards the Hipod one as it is rated up to 12kg. Plus the prices of these as opposed to others on the market is very appealing. From my understanding the Hipod has replaced the F&P one that Target used to sell?
Just bumping the thread in case anyone has more feedback since it was first posted in July
We have the FP one and the FP stroller (the Travel System) - just took it out of the box on the weekend, but it seems so easy to use. So far we're really pleased with it!
