I too purchased all my BJ accessories from the US - so much cheaper. I almost purchased the pram from overseas as well, but was concerned about the warranty issue.

i've got the city select too sarah. it was super easy to put together and I have practised taking it apart and putting it in the boot, soo easywe are just hiring a safe n sound unity capsule to use as car seat/pram seat, then will change over to the seat that came with the pram when this bub is big enough....have wheeled it around with DD sitting in the front facing out, and it didn't seem like it wanted to tip or anything either. my only concern is that DD may be too tall for her seat soon - but she is 3 and tall. they also have super cute pram liners which i am going to buy

thank you all for your replies!! DF has most of march off work boss feels the need for baliso i could just be going and checking some out then! (bit of luck he will like it and just buy it for me, wishfull, very wishfull!) im not a big fan of the baby capsues, weve got a spare reversible car seat, and i like to use a baby carrier for the first month or 2, leaning towards just getting the pram and seccond seat, dd just turned one so will get alot of use out of them!
another question, i assume it has a rain cover, but is it good for both seats or do they each have a seperate one? the weather isnt always in my favour when i need iit to be!
When we asked the sales assistant, we were told that each seat has its own rain/sun covers
I was sussing out the iCandy Peach as well (looks similar to the Select) and found this awesome site a mum has posted to compare the two prams. It's got lots of photos and practical advice about the Select (well both prams). I found it so useful.
Mods, I'm sure this is ok but please remove if it's not and I'll PM the link to the girls if required
Baby Jogger City Select v's iCandy Peach Blossom
great link,
i dint read it all but enough to know that the baby jogger ROCKS!!!
The rain cover issue........
Officially each seat needs a rain cover and bj make them, but they fit snug around the fram iykwim sooooooo you need a rain cover for the basket if you want to protect that which bj also make.
I have had my two rain covers on order for over 6 months now from the us ( was ordered when I originally ordered ) but I now plan on getting them here and getting refund.
The other option is SACHAS (have a search) do a rain cover that fits one seat or both specifically for the bjcs. I have the uncover from them as bj don't do or didn't when I ordered a suncover for the bjcs.
After a quick look the other day the ameythst colour has been released where I got mine from....looks nice!!!! The stroller(1 seat) for $499 (American $.... but we are more than $ for $ ) so that's a really good price.
Also the spare seat covers are available now.....tempted..... Yes![]()
Subsribing ladies as my SIL is looking for a pram & car seat/capsule.
I'm a bit confused so can someone clarify? We've shopped around and loved the City Select (I have the city elite, love it, but I fell in love with the select). Reading the posts I might tell her not to get the bassinete just yet, but does a baby capsule slip into it????? What kind of capsule? She's looking for a car seat now and can't decide which one. I have the safe and sound meridian which is OK for my 11 month old DS but I'm not too happy about the reclining of it (DS used to have quite a few chucks when he was smaller, now seems happier in it). It would suit her to get a capsule to click into the pram and into the car.
Ta!
