Hi!! I have a carrier obsession I don't think you can go past a stretchy wrap for a newborn. I have a HAB, but there are others out there like the moby etc that will do the same thing. I did use the Ergo with infant insert with no major dramas. DS seemed to quite like it from about 4 weeks old. I also love my lightly padded maya wrap ring sling for quick trips. Then when he was older I used a babyhawk meitai, ball baby overall, and pikkolo... I will be taking the HAB to hospital with me this time...

I had a Hug A Bub and LOVED it! But wish I had've bought a Close Carrier instead which is pretty much identical but soooo much easier to put on! I hated having to get out at the shops and put on, tie, readjust, put bub in, take bub out, readjust etc etc in the carpark! And couldn't put it on at home and drive in already set up as I found it uncomfortable to drive in when it was fitted snug enough for bub... Would be so much easier with the "pre set" close carrier! DS loved being close to me, DH wore it too with no dramas and I got so much done with bubs in there! Cleaning, shopping, walking, all hassle free! Except, the actual putting it on haha! Maybe I was just a bit lazy, but really I saw it as a bit of a PITA
