We have the S&S Guardian from Target and its been fine. Done the job for DS perfectly. He's still in it rear-facing. It doesn't have all the bells & whistles like some car seats do (i.e. cosmetic differences) but it suited us fine. Very happy with it.

When I had it fitted through a baby shop the woman did tell me though that the ones made for Target do have a larger base than some models sold through baby shops which is why they are somewhat cheaper. But the base hasn't been a problem for us and its in my hatchback most of the time.
