    Cradle/bassinet or cot?

If baby settles and sleeps well enough in a cot then I don't think there's anything wrong. I put dd in a bassinet originally but after 3 weeks of no sleep tried her in the cot and she slept for 5hrs straight, so I think some bubs like the closeness of a bassinet and some prefer a bit more space. I'll be trying this bub in the bassinet but only coz I want to try get my money's worth out of it lol

    Thanks ladies.

Ladybird flies, that was one other thought but like you said I can get something to make it more snug for bubs. I was actually thinking of not putting the drop down side of the cot on at all and having the cot up against my bed. The cot and my bed are the same height and that is how DD2 slept from 5.5months until she was just over one.

that sounds like a good idea Kazzo!!! The snuggle bed can be used for quite a while so you will get your money's worth out of it. You could also hang a mosquito net over the cot to create a snug space too!

I like using the bassinet so I can put it next to my bed. Having the baby next to me allows me to check on him whenever I want. If I have to actually get out of bed and walk somewhere it makes it harder for me to go back to sleep. This way I can take a glance whenever I want and go right back to sleep. It made my nights a lot easier.
