    I'm in a rental also - I've bought 8 square canvases (about 50cmx50cm) and am in the process of stretching cheap, brightly coloured fabric over them and will hang them on the walls

    I had another idea last night to get a cheap bookshelf and decorate it. Might do that this weekend
