Is/did bubs camp in with you after they were born?

i have had both boys in their own rooms right from day one for us it works also both boys are noisy sleepers even thru the monitors they are noisy but if you want bub in your room what about a bassinet

We still have our youngest in with us LOL. It was just so much more convenient to have them in with us as newborns so that's what we did.

Jazz moved out of our room when she was 13 months. We used a combination of co-sleeping and 'side-car'ing, where we removed the side of the cot and had it up against the side of the bed.

We had DS in our room with us in a bassinette because I felt him being in another room was just too far away from me! Once he got too big for the bassinette (at about 4 months), we moved the cot from the nursery into our bedroom and he moved back into his own room at about 8 months.

This baby will also be in the bassinette in our room for however long. It certainly makes the night feeding a whole lot easier!

We have had all our kids in our room til about 3 months old because we found it easier to tend to them rather than getting up and going to their room.

we had both our girls in a basinette beside our bed until they were around 3/4mths old, then they went into the nursery.
the SIDS recommendations are to share a room - apparently its the safest thing for at least the first 12 weeks

With DD we had her in the cradle in with us, but the two of them (DD and DH) snoring drove me betty, so she and I coslept in her room after about 6weeks.

DS is still in with me, though we've had major issues with him and only now at 10months old is he actually sleeping for any length in his cot. Bit of luck and he'll stay that way and move out when he's 1ish.

Our DS has always slept in his own room. First in the cradle (which is another option, try ebay) and then in the cot. We have an Angel care monitor that helped ease the "new mum" worries, especially since he is a tummy sleeper.

To us our room is exactly that; our room. We thought we'd like to maintain that even with bub. You may find that you will just have to try different things once your little one is here, just keep an open mind and whatever works, works!

Hi have you thought about a Tetra bed? V hates the cradle but likes the Tetra and it can lay inside her cot later so she has something familliar when she does go in the cot. During the day it goes on top of our bed and at night it goes on the floor next to me. It has sides so she doesnt roll out... She does worm her way in with us on a regular basis though

we have DD in a bassinett in with us, imnot a fan of co sleeeping coz we have a dog in the house. I was going to move DD into her cot last night actually but felt terribly guilty, so im just going to do it when it feels right, i dont have a baby monitor at the moment and i think that might have something to do with it, that i wont hear her and she'll end up working herself up coz i wont hear her for ages.
if you go with the cot i recomend getting a monitor, other get a bassinett, we had ours given to us, so ask around, when im finished with mine ill def be passing it on (after our next baby that is)
maybe one of your friends or family will have one? its only for a short amount of time.
