Well thanks for all the replies! I'm even more confused now!! Hah
I suppose the consensus is that I don't need one and can manage without, although having one would be handy...

We were also going to use it as his bath for the first few months as it has a bath built in to it, but then we decided I will just bath with him in the big bath coz of lack of space (plus, could get messy with water splashing all over the bedroom?).

But anyway, I always have it available if I find I NEED it!! I will definitely get a change mat though Thanks again everyone, it's just reassuring to know that others do the same!
