I know in our car the baby seat only fits behind the passanger seat. We should have bought a capsule for when Amelia is travelling backwards, but didn;t want the additional expense (already had a seat from her big brother). Most good baby stores will let you try the seats in your car. At least this way you could have a go with all the straps and see what suits you.
