    Do you mean expressing before bub is here? If you have to express colustrum, this is generally done by hand and the colustrum collected in a syringe.

    Yeah they want me to start expressing at about 36 weeks. I know I will get colostrum but they want to get milk as well. I have to freeze it so that it is on hand to use jic. I have GD and am using insulin so Frogglette may have low BSL's when she is born and have to spend time in the NICU. The expressed BM will be given to her to regulate her sugars. This is only if I can't be there for any reason (ie c/s)

    Unless you are still breatsfeeding another child, you will not produce milk until the baby is born and the milk producing hormones kick in...you will only get colostrum in the pre birth exoressing.....if you want to source expressed breast milk you will need to find a milk donor...there is a facebook page human milk for human babies that has an australian chapter and links people up......

    I agree with melbel you wont get milk milk till the after birth hormones kick in if thatmakes sense

    but for after I receomend the purely yours double breast pump fantastic
