End of Oct/ Early November baby - long sleeve or short sleeve jumpsuits?

    Hello,
I had my DS is April so it was fairly simple to know what to dress in him. This time bubba is due end of oct/early nov. My actual due date is 7th Nov, could go late too I suppose? Though last time I had DS 2 weeks early.

What did you dress your bub in around this time? They are still newborn so do they need the long sleeve jumpsuits or short sleeve? I'm guessing by April the colder weather clothes was required. But in the summer months, a short sleeve bodysuit?

Thanks, going to start buying and don't want to waste money with the wrong type pf clothing!!

Oh and one more question, when you found out the sex of your 2nd baby did you get rid of the clothes if it was a different sex or hold on to them? Thanks

DD2 was born 14th Nov and she wore a mix. I did buy a lot more short sleeve though and would just use other clothes on top if needed. Just layered basically.

Depends where you are. It can still get a chill in the air early morning/late arvo. Mostly in Brissy I think I did short... but long is always good to have JIC you get those chilly days.

JJ was a mid-October baby and we are in Melbourne so we still had pretty cool nights and he had quite a few thin cotton long sleeved and legged suits for him to wear when the nights were cool early on. I wouldn't think it would hurt to at least get say 4 -6 of the thin cotton ones to rotate at night if you need them.

Depends where you are... In Perth, November is well and truly hot, but nights are still mild a lot of the time, so short all the way with the odd longsleeve is what we had for DD1 (nov 19).
If I were still in Melb or somewhere, there would have been waaay more long sleeve things

Ds was Nov 2... By 3 weeks he was in singlets and short sleeve most days but for the first few weeks i had him in newborn outfits...

it was really hot though in syd and he often sweated if i overdressed him.....

definately only short sleeve if you live in a warmer area.... I wouldnt buy any long sleeve other than newborn and a few cardigans

Also bub is a girl and we are holding onto all of ds's stuff just in case she comes out a boy or for the future, as DS's clothes were still in pristine condition and alot of it designer labels etc.... you never know what the future will hold

    Both, and I'm in Melbourne.
We actually had a heareave towards the end of November and I had to rush to get cooler clothing cos everything I had was long sleeved. You can get lots of mid-high 20s days in nov, or you can get cold...it's unpredictable.
It can't hurt to at least have a couple of short sleeves, you can always layer if it's cold

Eta- I was due 11/11 and had DS1 on 21/11
