5 years ago when i had my first DD my mum and dad bought me a feeding chair (rocking chair). Mum made the cushions to match the babys bed linen - it looked great !. I have used it with all my babies - its simply stayed in the nursery room. But during the odd occasion when i dont have a newborn in the house () i have found it to get in the way.
If you dont have space in your house, or babys room, then i wouldnt get one. But luckily we do and even though there have been months where i havent sat on it due to babys being older, im glad i havent gotton rid of it .........................yet.
