Will be interested to see if they come back with a response. Were both sets flanelette? and was the warning on the sheets as well as the packaging?

Both sets were flanelette - I just checked the sheets and the warning doesn't appear to be on the sheets, only the packaging.

I wouldn't take them back. I'm confident they are perfectly safe, I have no idea why cotton cot sheets wouldn't be??

I was just hanging out my washing - which included a regular, cotton flat sheet for a cot... It was bought at target and the label "not suitable for children under 12 months" was there. I'd never noticed it before!

I'd guess the label is there because the pack includes a flat sheet, it's not necessarily about the flannelette itself.

Although, we use our flat sheets on the cot. Sometimes we use them to wrap Sam... but he's a strange kid. Even at 6 months old he doesn't even try to escape from his wrap and will still only sleep wrapped - so it's not like he goes roaming around the cot and will get tangled in his flat sheet!
