i have that one (is that the one that also display temps?). i think it is value for money. It is portable and clear.
i also used the anglecare one before and found that very crackly. much pefer the oricom.
Hey guys,
I'm looking to get a really good baby monitor in the next couple of days. I don't want anything fancy, just something that I can hear bubby with - don't need the sensor pad or anything. Something with minimal interference would be good too.
Any suggestions?
I was thinking the Oricom 500 - anyone have this one?
Cheers

I have the oricom 500 one and I love it, it's handy having the alarm temp and being able to play music without having to go in to the room. We have a big block of land and it works all over the place.
Yeah, I think so. It's funny, I haven't heard good things about the AngelCare ones - lots of interference, I'm told.
Thanks!

Yeh i dont know what the hype is about angelcare as i always had issues hearing DD with it and it always always crackled and made weird sounds!
I think interference can depend upon where you live and what is around you. I'd buy one from somewhere with a good refund policy so you can try it and return it if it doesn't work for you. We have a Fisher Price $50 monitor- cheapest I could find and it's awesome. No interference or hassles at all.
Most definitely! And the material your house is built from, and your house layout also plays a part in it. Our Angelcare is now 4 years old and still going strong. But like meow said, with whatever you get, make sure you can take it back if it doesn't work in your house. What works for some doesn't necessarily work for others.
I have the Oricom and it's brilliant, I tried another brand first and it was so noisy I had to take it back. This one is perfect.
