Thanks hun, we've tried that with Ava but it's still quite dark out here by say 6am and we don't mind her coming up then before DP goes to work. She sleeps with her curtains open (thats how she likes it) and will often sleep until say 7am but it's when she wakes at 1am and decides to come upstairs - the other morning it was about 5am and we'd told her she has to stay in bed until morning... she was sobbing in her bed and when i went in she said "it's still dark and i can't tell if it's morning" when i asked why she's crying she said "cos daddy leaves early and it's still dark time"
So if i could set it to 6am and say no problem look the suns up on your clock then it would solve the getting upset at missing daddy... IYKWIM?
The other option then would be to promise Daddy will come in and give her a kiss and a cuddle before he goes to work - even if she's asleep. My uncle (dairy farmer) used to go in to his kids, turn the light on and say good morning before he'd milk the cows (I would have killed him), but the kids got used to it, said good morning and went back to sleep when he left. Then on days Daddy isn't working, she'll sleep til the sun comes up, and on days he's going to work she still gets her kiss and cuddle, and if she comes in to you afterwards, it's ok?

    Just another option.

I ages ago bought 1 but havent used it yet. Its a thomas tank engine one where they cant get up until he has his eyes open. Got it at a toyworld for $20.

Think I need to start using it as now DS2 is sleeping with DS1 he gets up around 0600 and wakes DS1 who normally would sleep till 0700 - 0730.

Ok someone said bambini pronto have 40% off store wide but they don't have the gro clock they have another sleep trainer clock (monkey shaped).

Think they are normally $50 so that would be a decent saving (would have to check postage) but does anyone else have one, are they as good as the gro clock?

It's the Momo sleep monkey but there are mixed reviews about it online... i know it was mentioned previously but does anyone actually have one?
If so do you like it?

a couple of other ideas that i think i read here years back were to get a normal digital clock radio, cover up the minute numbers with tape and teach the child that they have to wait til they see a 6 or a 7 before they can get up. You could also put stickers on a normal face clock, you have to wait til the small hand points at the 6 or Heart sticker and then you can get up. Can also help with learning to tell the time.

Thats a good idea - she has a clock in her room already but i don't think it would be easy to see in the morning - maybe a small digital clock would work.
    Hmmmmmmmmmmm good ideas!

Bambino pronto tried to have a sale start last night with 40% 0ff store wide which means the gro clocks would of been on sale. However site has crashed so they are working on getting it up and running again! Keep your eye out or I'll pop back In when I see it going!

My mum got one recently for DS from Bambini Pronto I'm sure, a gro clock. She's definitely got one, she's holding it for his bday in July, I'll ask her where she got it...

So they HAVE had it, I'm pretty sure...

Mum got it from Bella's Little Ones. She paid full price, so $69.95. Don't know if that helps.

    Gro Clock ?

Don't know where the gro clocks have gone on the website and have had no replies to my email or question on Facebook about them! Sorry girls thought of you when I saw the sale but didn't realise they don't have any.....it's worth buying at 40% off!
Friend has the monkey one and she says it is ok, it still does the job well!!
