I'm new to this site and I'm finding it very helpful. I'm in the market shopping for a pram and I am having problems choosing between the Valco Baby and Steelcraft Strider 3. I've heard both good and bad reviews about both.... My friend has a Strider and I took it for a stroll and it felt very stable. However, it looks very wide and the feedback I have received is people are saying it's really hard to get in & out of shops/cafes etc... I like the Valco Baby but I had trouble putting it into my boot so I was forced to look for another pram. I was suggested the Strider 3 but like I said I'm struggling with how wide it is..... Would appreciate any feedback.... Thank-you
3 wheelers are on the wide side but I don't think they are any wider then some of the bigger 4 wheelers on the market.
I have had 4 prams/strollers including a big 4wd Bertini, 3 wheel Baby Love and a Valco Titan stroller and if you can't get into a shop with the big one I'm certain you can't get in with a smaller stroller either IYKWIM.
All of the supermarkets and stores like target have to have a disabled/wide check out by law so if you use that then you won't have to worry about getting stuck

I bought the Swallow Beema Q from baby co around $399, it was in choice magazine as one of the best three wheelers and it fits down all shopping checkouts!!!! Everyone I know that has one is happy and it's quite compact to fit in the boot. My girlfriend was allowed to try the demo model in her boot as well. Hope this helps, I was also looking at the strider but it wasn't practical for us either.
Best of luck pram hunting!

I'd suggest avoiding a stryder or anything that wide. I don't have one but I know someone who does (she loves it) and watch her having trouble getting around shopping centres, particularly in food courts and small stores. It also takes up a lot of room when out for dinner. I have a Mother's choice shopping stroller which was cheap as and it's only about as wide as myself so I know I can take it pretty much anywhere I can fit so it makes life very easy.
I watched someone with a twin pram yesterday trying to get out of Aldi and she couldn't fit through the exits - she had to somehow get out through the entrance which had one of those one way swinging gates. Life is not always easy when getting around with a pram.
I had the Strider and sold it - heavey bulky, easy to steer when bub weighs 4 kgs but when they get heavier it is awkward. I have a P & T on layby and they are pretty narrow for a 3 wheeler plus you have the double kit option that I love. I have only heard good things about it!
Hi Guys, thank you for your response.... I ended up going for the Valco Baby TriMode. I was really happy because it did fit in the car boot Also we measured the Strider 3 and it was 3cm wider and as for the bassinette, the Valco Baby was 2 cm longer. Not only that I was loving the extra compartments because if I want to go for a walk or go to the shops I don't have to worry about carrying a bag. As for when the time comes and I'll be really using it my opionin may change
