How long were your bubs in 0000's?

My cousin was remarking yesterday that her little boy was only now moving into 000's at 2 months! DS was massive and was in 000's when he was brand new (never touched the 0000's - which was such a waste!).

So DD is due in 5 weeks and silly me has just gone and bought 000's due to past experience. Apparently she is average in size compared to huge DS. So now I am thinking I may need some 0000's this time around - but really just want to buy enough to get us through (we will definitely not be having any more kids after DD).

So how long were your LO's in 0000's? How many would you suggest I look at buying?

    Thanks

My DS was on the smaller side (3.035kg and 50cm long), and he was in 0000 for about at least a month, probably longer.

DS was in 0000s for a couple of weeks, he was averaged sized as well. A friend of mine has a little girl who is 2 days older than DS and is STILL in 0000s and they are almost 6 months old.

My DS1 was in 0000 for about a month. DS2 only a couple of weeks, he was a big boy.
    DD about a month too.
Usually they will need 0000 for the hospital stay at least.
I would get a couple of singlets, or bonds gro suits or whatever you think they will spend the most time in.
Say around 4 singlets, 2-3 gro suits and maybe and outfit or two for the going home out fit. I liked my babies to have a nice going home out fit

Never. Either of them. lol They were too long for most of them, and the few I did buy for DD1 she never touched, so I didn't bother this time around!

Neither of mine were in 0000 . If can borrow a few 0000 do but I wouldn't buy any. You can always roll up the sleeves aand a bit of length in the legs will be ok.

My boys were in 0000s for 3 or 4 weeks I think. Not very long, but they grew REALLY quickly (went from 50th to 90th percentiles by their 2 month check ups).
I would expect an average sized bub to be in them for about a month. Maybe get half a dozen little suits. Don't go overboard, it isn't hard to send someone to the shops to grab some more if you find you need them after bub is born.

DD was 8 pounds and in them for about a month but also fitting 000's, especially Bonds which seems to be a smaller make. I just went to Best and Less and bought all my 0000 from there, so cheap!

My boy was only in 0000's for a about a week, 8pd 7oz born. He did put on weight quickly tho. It's hard to say how many to buy. I only bought a couple of suits and singlets. Probably best to wait til after bub's is born to buy anymore.

My DD was the same size and wore hers for a good couple of months too.

Depends where they are from. He is too chubby for the pumpkin patch NB size but can still fit into 0000 from Big W or Best & Less

Other than that they are getting a little tight.

My Moo was 9lb at birth, I think 53cm in length & never wore a size 0000.

By December he was in 00.

No harm in buying a few smaller sizes, if you keep the tags on you can always give them to someone else.

My DD was 3.6kg born and 54cm long and fit into 0000 for about 2-3 weeks before she grew out of them. Both of my DS's never fit into them. DS1 was 4.2kg and 55cm, and ds2 was 3.8kg and 56cm. While they may have fit into them width wise, they were both waaayyyy too long to get anywhere near them. And DS2 is already now into 00. I also think DS1 was into 00 by this age too....
Maybe if you do buy some, get things without feet or seperates rather than full suits and even if bubs is a bit bigger than first thought, she will fit into them and you can just put socks on her.
